Weekly update #4

Dear parents/carers I hope this message finds you well. What an interesting week it has been. Last night, watching Her Majesty the Queen addressing the nation reminded me of our Scout promise – I promise that I will do my best to do my duty…to The Queen. So, continuing to stay at home I am. Simple! Staying at home doesn’t have to be that terrible as we can all carry on Scouting and again, I’m so impressed with the Scouting that has been going on remotely. Original Art

If you’ve got some cardboard laying around, some scissors and poster paint, have a go at making some unique, original art. Have a go and bring your finished creation back to the hall once we’re open again and we’ll have a fantastic gallery! The bigger, the better. Necker Challenge

Neckers are amazing things. As a Scout, they are our identity, we wear them to signify what group we belong to. There are also lots of other uses including using as a Headband Facemask Bandana Tourniquet Sling … the list goes on. This post is to do something that is a bit of fun with your necker. Map Skills

Looking for something to challenge yourself with? Ordnance Survey have created some puzzle books to assist with your young persons map reading skills. Weekly update #3 Dear parents/carers Another week passes and I continue to be amazed at the efforts and attitude of our members as we progress through these challenging times. Firstly, I was so humbled with the response from last week’s email. I know financially times are tough for many, so a huge and heartfelt thank you to everyone who contacted me to offer their support and encouragement surrounding subs and keeping the Group running.
