A little help from Black Friday

With over £1.4 billion spent across Black Friday weekend, it’s a great opportunity to raise money for 11th Folkestone Scouts with every online purchase you make, and, it’s completely FREE! If you use easyfundraising when shopping online, retailers like Amazon, Argos, John Lewis, ASOS, Booking.com, eBay, Boden, and M&S will then make a small donation to say, “thank you”. Trustees Week 2018

Trustees’ Week: 12-16 November 2018 What are trustees? Trustees are the people in charge of a charity. They help to make the UK the sixth most giving country in the world. They play a vital role, volunteering their time and working together to make important decisions about the charity’s work. Trustees’ Week is an annual event to showcase the great work that trustees do and highlight opportunities for people from all walks of life to get involved and make a difference. It’s also a chance for us to say ‘THANK YOU’ to our trustees on the Group Executive Committee for all their hard work behind the scenes that keep the Group running and growing.

Poppy Appeal Collections 2018

We will be collecting money for the Royal British Legion Poppy Appeal in Folkestone town centre on Saturday 10th November. As you may know Remembrance Sunday this year will be on the 11th which means that the 10th is the last day of the appeal and is set to be a busy one. That means that it would be great to have as many young people as possible giving up some of their time. All we are asking for is an hour from the Beavers and Cubs, and an hour and a half […]
